Daisy's Transient House, Baguio City

As a modest traveler, I spend most of my budget outdoors for food and sights. I am not the kind who will pay a few more bucks for hotels that I will not spend time in most of the day.

I've been coming and going to Baguio and I've stayed in almost all kinds of accommodation. It was not too long ago when I resolved never to stay in a hotel and shell out cash for an overnight stay when in fact, I am only there to sleep and freshen up. I am more than pleased when I found this modest transient house that's very near SM Baguio. What caught my eye, aside from its cool blue paint, is the backyard with lush vines of sayote. Opening my room's back door early in the morning is a pleasant experience as I watch the thin rays of the sun touch the leaves in the garden. Coming from the concrete jungles of Manila, it is a welcome respite.

Manang Daisy Munoz's quaint blue house is perfect for a modest, not-picky traveller. Everything is simple and basic and the amenities are worth the price. If you will be directly contacting Manang Daisy, you can pay as low as 300 per overnight stay. Although this price may change anytime, she can always give a pleasant guest a discount.

Here are some pictures of her blue house I took while I was there in December 2013.
